Beach Days with Goldfish
Many of our summer memories are the ones of the boys and I at the beach. I have a few favourite photos of them playing and splashing in the water, they are basically two peas in a pod. Jack and Max have always kept each other entertained, whether it be building a sand castle with a moat or jumping the waves, the beach will always be a magical place within their childhood.
As our kids have gotten older and with Scottie in the mix, the beach is still our favourite summer activity as a family for a full fun day of sand, water and sunshine. It’s a place for us to relax and really enjoy the moment— where we can make those special memories. Even when the world seems like a complicated place, packing up the car and traveling to the beach never disappoints and a constant reminder of what is most important.
Our beach fun consists of finding unique seashells and rocks. Max loves collecting rocks along the shore line and throwing them in my beach bag to bring home with us. While Jack could spend hours digging up the sand with his favourite tractors and dumping pails of water to create a big water hole. Scottie loves the water just as much as the boys, so much she doesn’t care if the water temperature is freezing.
When it comes to packing for a trip to the beach, even when I was a kid, I can remember packing a cooler full of drinks and snacks. When you’re little, a 1 hour drive can feel like foooorever! I know exactly how the boys feel when they ask “are we there yet?”. By the time we reach the beach, the kids are hungry and looking for something to quickly snack on. One of our favourite, family-friendly snacks that we can always count on whenever its snack time are Goldfish Chedder Crackers. They are made from real cheddar cheese, always baked, contain no artificial flavours, have 0 trans fat and are low in saturated fat. **For more info on Goldfish Chedder Crackers you can visit their website here.
Between the beach and snacking on Goldfish Chedder Crackers the boys seem to always have a smile on their face :).
What are some of your all-time favourite summer memories?
