Beach Essentials for the Fam

What's Summer without a few trips to the good ol' sandy beach!? I love the beach and my kids especially LOVE the beach; it's the perfect hangout for those hot summer days and never-ending fun building sand castles and running along the beach shore. It's a dreamy place as you walk out onto the pier and watch the sunset disappear along the beach horizon. It can be a peaceful place but it can also be a social place for people to eat, drink and enjoy a little sunshine!When Brent and I plan day trips with the kids, we always try to pack the bare minimal. There have been times in the past where we have packed so much "kid stuff" most of it was left untouched! As long as we have the necessities, we'll survive! Between Brent and I only have four hands ( Jack and Max don't count) so the solution to all of our smaller items is to pack them in none other than a backpack! We love the Fjallraven Kånken Backpack because of its simple design and the useful pockets which make organization on-the-go easy! From car keys to diapers, the Kånken holds everything we need for trips to the beach or on long hikes with the boys!

Can you tell our boys love the water!! It doesn't even matter if it's ice cold... and that's what I call brave, EEK!

Since the beach has been on our mind lately!! I've rounded up a few Beach Essentials for the Fam!

15. Sand and Beach Backpack Play Set -- Kids + beach toys= a must! What I love about this set is that all the necessities are here and with this nifty little backpack so your child can carry their own toys( which is great for parents who don't have eight arms)!
16. Pineapple Float -- A playful oversized pineapple float!! This is definitely needed for some beach fun in the sun and to conquer those beachy waves.
